Well, to tell you the truth, my hubs has never really loved this DIY herb trough like I have.
Apparently he doesn’t have quite so warm a place in his heart for manky old troughs built out of pallet wood and painted with a crazy aqua and chevron stripes…
Go figure. 🙂
So after his graciously living with it for well over a year, I removed it the other day from the top of the china cabinet.
But what to put in its place?
I shopped the house and used the frame from this project…
…and the frame from this project…
…along with a white ceramic urn-shaped vase from inside the china cabinet and an off-white ceramic vase from our bedroom. I used the preserved hydrangeas from the DIY herb trough to fill them.
Well, hopefully hubs prefers this look! It’s much more traditional than the chevron-striped herb trough, but I think I like it.
So, do you ever “shop your house” for a no-cost redecorating endeavor? Do tell! Scroll down to comment below…
