And like any woman wants to look like she is carrying an extra innertube of weight around! AmIright? 008 ruffled tank strap extension makeoverSo I grabbed a soft old long-sleeved t-shirt and cut out a couple of strips of fabric to use. 009 ruffled tank strap extension makeoverI cut the tank right at the shoulders, then spliced in the two “strap extenders.” 010 ruffled tank strap extension makeoverSince jersey doesn’t fray (and this top already has a loose boho look going for it), I didn’t bother to hem the new pieces. 004 ruffled tank strap extension makeover afterAnd shazam! This top went from painfully unflattering to marvelous, just like that! 003 ruffled tank strap extension makeover afterI love the contrast of the strap extenders being tan, so I switched to a tan tank underneath instead of white. 005 ruffled tank strap extension makeover afterIt is seriously amazing to me what a difference a few minutes and a few inches can make in the way a piece of clothing looks! 006 ruffled tank strap extension makeover afterNow hitting at my hips, this shirt is much more flattering. 001 ruffled tank strap extension makeover before and afterThis is the shirt I wore in our Christmas pictures, too, under a green wool jacket. 007 ruffled tank strap extension makeover after with velvet blazerAnd it was just perfect under a black velvet blazer and with a sparkly necklace for a night out on the town. Huzzah! And hooray for a simple, free, fast makeover! Happy New Year to you & yours from the Camp! I’m looking forward to another amazing year with you in 2015! Wheeee! blog signature
