Just a little reminder to get your week started off on the right foot…
“The LORD your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing” (Zephaniah 3:17).
God is with me? {Go read Exodus 3 and see for yourself that God knocks out all the objections.} When I am hesitant (to fulfill His calling on my life) or scared (I won’t be accepted or believed) or overwhelmed (because the task is so great and I am so small)?
Yes, even (and especially?) then.
“Certainly I will be with you.”
Yes. God is with you.
In fact, it’s sort of a theme of our whole salvation through faith in Jesus’s death and resurrection as a payment for our sins: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and they will call Him Immanuel” which means “God with us” (Matthew 1:23).
Now go get ’em.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).
