Thank You Is Good {But Don’t Forget You’re Welcome}

We all know saying “thank you” is imperative, but don’t forget–when you have guests–to say “you’re welcome.”

So with my mum in town this week…

a small gift

{inside: a couple of favorite British snacks–pickled onions & chocolate Penguins}

*

a favorite meal

{Chicken Tikka Masala. Indian food’s as popular in England as Mexican food is in the States.}

*

some toiletries & fresh towels

{not just clean towels, but new ones–an inexpensive investment you can continue to enjoy after the visit ends}

*

It’s how to say,

without speaking a word,

Welcome. You are welcome here. Valuable. And loved.

*

{So how do you say “you’re welcome”?}
