We had family in town a couple of weeks ago, and they came down in their camper… Or their “glamper,” as we like to think of it. 🙂 So I wanted to get them a little hello & welcome gift.
I love to do a welcome gift–a small gesture to say, “we’re glad you’re here!” And since our family was staying in the glamper, they had both a kitchen and the ability NOT to have to carry a gift on a flight or in luggage. So I pulled together a few simple, mostly local items from the farmer’s market for them.
Along with fresh strawberries (and really, you just have not eaten strawberries until you’ve eaten fresh ones), I added a locally made apple butter and Carolina peach butter. Yum! It’s awesome to find local items for out-of-towners, don’t you think, something they could not procure very easily in their towns?
Local magazines, croissants, and a few favorite drinks rounded out the brunch theme gift nicely.
Then with the note, I included this sweet little spreader, a gift to employ while they are here, then enjoy after the magazines are read and the jams are gone.
Gah! I love a theme! Hope you’re having a glorious week! Wheee! 🙂
