Okay, so I know you are just sitting there wondering WHEN I’m going to post another shirt personalization idea… You know, ’cause it’s been seconds and seconds since the last one I shared, right?! 🙂
But seriously, with Li’l Bro’s field trip to the fire station this week, i was so excited to pull out this fire truck applique shirt.
A homemade hand-me-down from Big Bro, this top fit just at the right time to wear on Li’l ‘s class field trip, huzzah!
AND it was super simple to make! I just found a piece of fabric with a print I loved and cut out one of the images from the fabric. Then I attached it to the shirt with Heat-n-Bond, [I cut the Heat-n-Bond a little bit smaller than the fire truck image, so the edges could naturally fray a bit.]
Once my scrap of firetruck fabric was adhered to the shirt, I hand stitched around the edge with embroidery floss.
And before you can say Bob’s your uncle, Big Bro (and now Li’l Bro) had a new appliqued shirt! [The shirt is this project is an Old Navy boys long sleeve ringer tee, inexpensive, soft, and durable.]
I’m pretty sure his educational experience was deeply enhanced thanks to being properly outfitted in themed attire… right?
