Sometimes I feel like I am moving at just a frenzied pace during my days. But I am hoping–crossing my fingers–that I will find a little time this weekend to sew Sissy a new fall outfit.
I am planning on making a simple scrap peasant skirt in fall colors. I had fun laying out several different options an combinations before I had a winner. Lucky for me, the creative process is often as fun as completing the final project!
Once I had a winning combination, I cut all the strips, so now I’m ready to go! Hmm… now all I need is a little block of time to sew it all together! I also sketched out a design for a coordinating shirt applique. I wanted something that would work all though fall–not just Halloween or Thanksgiving.
A cutie little scarecrow strikes the right balance, I think, don’t you?!
So, are you hoping to make time for some sewing or another fun hobby this weekend? Do tell! Wheeee!
See how it turned out…
And you might want to make your own cutie fall outfit! Here are some free tutorials…
Adorable!!
This weekend I hope to make bat shirts for my two boys and a tun of homemade Carmel corn that I plan to pack up and ship to nieces in college and boarding school. Have a wonderful and productive weekend!
