We used to have a diner style sugar jar.
It would have been fine had it not somehow always gotten blocked (humidity maybe?), but it just never consistently flowed, so it got replaced.
The mason jar was a definite cuteness upgrade, but it still lacked good functionality.
SO I cut the top off an empty salt container and used it as a top for the mason jar (a trick I’m sure you’ve seen on Pinterest, ad nauseum).
So then we had decent looks AND function. Definitely on the right track, our little sugar jar got one more upgrade with washi tape.
I went with the polka dots (duh, hello have we met, of course I did!).
So the plain little cardboardy-cardstocky salt top got a few strips of tape, and it was all done!
I love a QUICK, simple, free tweak!
You know, I was thinking about one of my favorite blogs the other day, and although I love to look at pretty pictures of inspired homes, I rarely if ever connect those images to my real life. Who has the budget for that, right? So I really love being able to add little touches that cost nothing here at the Camp. So what little tweaks are you doing today? Do tell!
It turned out really cute 🙂 I like the pattern you chose!
