The way my toddler daughter nuzzles her head in the crook of my neck when I cuddle her… and the curve of my grade schooler’s handwriting… and the way my preschooler dresses up like a different superhero or character every.single.day… and the way my husband still catches me utterly off-guard with a joke and keeps me laughing after all these years, and OH! God bless that man for choosing me and loving me so well! …and the hydrangeas blooming even after the hail storm and the sprinkler in the backyard and little itty bitty pink crocs and a list of spelling words learned and homework packet finished. And I’m so thankful for God’s word and for google so I can look up verses all the time when I can’t QUITE remember where they are. And thank you for friends in Kenya digging a well. And thank you for friends developing unique curriculum to share God’s love and truth and hope with the hearts of orphans, waiting. And thank you for dear sisters like Ann Voskamp who take a chance and hang their hearts and guts right out there for everyone to read.
